We are a long established, friendly practice that has served generations of families for over 70 years in Teddington and the surrounding community.
​
At Church Road Dental Care Centre we offer first class care and are proud to be your local dentists in Teddington. We aim to achieve good oral health for you and your family through preventative dentistry and long term dental maintenance.
Over the last decade we have increased the scope of the treatments we can offer to our patients. This includes surgical treatments, Dental implants, Periodontal treatments, orthodontics and full mouth rehabilitation. And now we are providing high quality Facial Aesthetics in Teddington.
​We are a highly professional, experienced team, with up to date knowledge and technology based in the heart of Teddington.
For many years we have restoring teeth with same day Cerec porcelain restorations. Now we can offer intra-oral scanning to avoid the use of wet impressions in most patients. Ben and John exclusively offer restorative treatments at the practice using the high resolution 3D Trios scanner.

We are happy to see all adult patients on a private basis, with children seen on the NHS.

OUR DENTISTS
Dr Ben Griffith:
Practice Prinicipal and Partner
(81072 BDS Lond 2002, MSc Dental Implantology Bristol)
Qualified from St Bartholomew's and The Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2002. For many years Ben has been working in London, Brighton and Surrey. He has gained a wealth of experience in Restorative dental practice and Surgical dentistry. Ben achieved a Masters in Dental Implantology at Bristol and has been placing and restoring Straumann dental implants for over 10 years. Ben is Mentor for Straumann and The Campbell Institute, regularly assisting in the implant training of local dentists. He is also an active member of the International Team for Implantology and Association of Dental Implantology. Ben has also received advanced training in the treatment of periodontal disease. Ben is now offering Fixed and removable anterior orthodontic treatment to his adult patients with the support of IAS Orthodontics (Clear smile, Clear aligners and Clear braces).

Dr. John O`Leary:
Practice Principal and Partner
(76579 BDS Lond 1999, BSC Lond 1995, MFDS RCS ENG 2004)
Qualified from Guy`s Hospital Dental School, University of London in 1999. In 2004, he became a member of the Dental Surgery faculty of the Royal College of Surgeons (England). He has worked in oral and maxiofacial surgery within the hospital system, and has been in private practice since 2003. John has a keen interest in orthodontics and issues of occlusion. He is a member of BSOS (British Society of Occlusal Studies). John is undertakeing his Diploma in Orthodontics. John treats a mainly adult patients currently but will be offering more comprehensive orthodontics going forward.

Dr Rita Gleasure:
Associate (69649 Dundee 1993)
Qualified from Dundee University in 1993 and has experience in both private and NHS practices throughout London. Rita has developed a keen interest in Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry and keeps up to date by attending numerous courses in the fields of Endodontics, Tooth Whitening and Ceramic Restorations.

Dr Magenta Merrony:
Associate with a special interest in Medical Facial Aethetics (278531, BDS Cardiff 2018)
Maggie graduated from Cardiff University in 2018. Since then Maggie has worked locally in South-West London and Twickenham. She has developed her general dental practice with additional qualifications in Facial Aesthetics and we are now able to offer this treatment at the practice. She is Ofqual accredited in Facial Aesthetics with the Harley Academy, including advanced courses with the Dr BK training institute.

Julie Ford:
Hygienist (3926 CEB Certificate In Dental Hygiene 1990)
Julie is a very gentle and caring hygienist. She trained at Guy`s Hospital, London and has been working at Church Road Dental Care Centre for over 20 years.

Nadine Barry: Practice Manager:
Nadine has lived local to the practice since childhood and knows the local area really well. She originally joined the practice as a dental nurse but progressed into management roles, and has now been Practice Manager at The Dental Care Centre for well over a decade. Her communication and management skills are a real asset to the practice. In modern dental practice her duties are far reaching from Health and Safety to CQC compliance as well as accounting and audits. Nadine was instrumental in managing our return to practice during the recent pandemic. Most importantly for our patients she is a friendly face at reception and easily contacted by email or phone to answer any queries, and to coordinate their examinations, hygiene appointments and treatments.

"I recently had an implant at Church Road Dental Care Centre to replace a missing front tooth. After talking through the options with Mr Banner, who has been my dentist for many years, I decided I would prefer the implant solution and he therefore referred me to his colleague, Mr Ben Griffith, who specializes in implants. Mr Griffith does an initial consultation to make sure everything is suitable to proceed and explain what is involved. He is an excellent communicator, who makes everything very clear throughout, and always gives you the opportunity to ask your own questions. I think establishing this trust is important, as having a dental implant is probably not something to be undertaken lightly. It involves very skilled surgery, carried out in a series of procedures over several weeks, and includes drilling down into the bone and stitches in the gum (under local anaesthetic). Mr Griffith is kind and professional and keeps in touch, especially after the implant has first been inserted, to make sure everything is progressing normally. He took great care with the measurements, with building up the bone with my own bone from elsewhere in the mouth, and centralising the implant in the jaw. He appears to have achieved an excellent result. It is great to have a new matching permanent tooth instead of a gap, and to have lost my lisp and be able to whistle again! Thank you again for all the trouble you took with my implant."
